Parks & Recreation
The Oswego County Youth Bureau’s Parks and Recreation manages operations at Camp Hollis and the Oswego County Nature Park at Camp Zerbe, and oversees the Independence Trail.
Located in Oswego, Camp Hollis operates seasonally from May through November. For eight weeks of the summer, Camp Hollis is home to a children’s residential and day camp. Camp Rainbow of Hope, a bereavement camp for children who have lost a loved one, and Senior Camping for the young at heart, run in the summer months as well. Camp Hollis is available for rental in the off-season for various school groups, family events, and weddings.
Through its trails, picnic areas, and natural beauty, the Oswego County Nature Park at Camp Zerbe (located on Route 104 in Williamstown) provides an outstanding outdoor experience for residents and visitors to Oswego County. Open daily from dusk to dawn.
Located off of Route 104 and Route 1A in Scriba, Independence Trail is a trail system that features several points of interest for identifying plants and trees.
