- We are extending the age for our day camp program to age 14.
-Due to the cancellation of our overnight camp, we are opening up all our day camp weeks for more campers.
- Throughout the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the health and safety of our campers, their families, and our staff has always been at the forefront of all the decisions we make. It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we will not be holding an overnight camp program this summer. Several weeks ago, New York State released guidelines for summer camps. As a county run and funded program, there were many logistical concerns with these guidelines that put the practicality of running an overnight camp in to question. In discussing these guidelines with county officials, it was determined that the safest and most practical way to run a summer program this year is to run as a day camp only.
Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario, Camp Hollis serves over 5,000 county residents each year through the many programs offered at Camp Hollis. Camp Hollis' main focus is providing a summer camp experience to youth ages 6-14. Campers can either enjoy a full week residential camp experience (for ages 8-14) or campers can just come during the day at day camp (for ages 6-12)
Camp Hollis Day Camp program is offered all of the weeks that resident camp is in session. Our day camp is offered to campers ages 6-14, daily from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (extended care option from 7 - 9 a.m. and 4 -6 p.m.), Monday - Friday. Day campers get to enjoy all of the same day programs offered to resident campers and have lunch with the rest of camp.
Camp Hollis is also available to organized groups of families when the residential program is not in session. It serves as an excellent location for weddings, retreats, reunions, and school groups to run outdoor education/environmental study programs.
Camp Hollis is owned by Oswego County and operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.
